If you suffer from cellulite on your thighs, upper arms, buttocks and tummy, you aren’t alone. About 80% of all women, including Hollywood’s elite, have “cottage cheese dimples.” While it’s not impossible to eliminate cellulite, it requires more than good diet and exercise. Here at Rejuvalife Vitality Institute, we have an effective treatment that will give you smooth skin in just one session.
Imagine a large box packed with helium-filled balloons. The box has plastic wrap stapled tightly around on top of the box to keep the balloons inside. Now, imagine those balloons becoming larger and larger. Naturally, the balloons will push upwards on the plastic wrap and cause the wrap to bulge, right? That’s a simple way to explain cellulite.
In the photos above, the skin on the left is without cellulite. As the fat cells enlarge (right photo), they place upward pressure on the connective tissue (#4, which looks like gray fencing in the photos). As the pressure increases, the connective tissues continue to be pushed upwards, causing that dimpled look we all hate.
Cellulaze is our weapon of choice in the war on cellulite in our Beverly Hills practice. FDA-approved Cellulaze is faster, less expensive, and more effective than any other cellulite treatment. We know, because we have evaluated every single one of them! Cellulaze tightens, smooths and thickens the skin with minimal downtime. Our Beverly Hills Cellulaze patients love their results!
The Cellulaze treatment is performed here in our Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery office under local anesthesia, and requires about two hours to complete. Tiny incisions, about the size of the tip of a pen, are made in the treatment area(s). Dr. Berger inserts a very small tube, called a cannula, into an incision. He then places a thin laser fiber into the cannula. The laser energy is focused on the lumps and bumps of trapped fat to release the fibrous bands that cause the dimpling in the skin. Not only will the laser fiber eliminate the trapped fat, it will stimulate your body to create more collagen, one of the building blocks of youthful skin. Collagen will increase the thickness of your skin to lessen the appearance of future cellulite.
Our Beverly Hills cellulite treatment patients find that they feel a bit sore in the treated areas, and some experience slight bruising at the incisions. Dr. Berger suggests that his Cellulaze patients take the rest of that day off, but they can resume work and social activities in a day or so. Exercise is kept at a bare minimum, such as walking, for two weeks.
Because improvement will continue over time, we advise our Cellulaze patients to get their treatments in January and February to look their best in the spring when the weather warms up in Southern California. Any time of the year is an appropriate time to lose your cellulite, of course!
