At Rejuvalife Vitality Institute, we specialize in achieving, restoring, and maintaining beauty through science. Scientific research has shown that products containing bioactive ingredients which interact with living tissues, like Restylane®, can benefit damaged and aging skin. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane® is almost identical to that produced naturally in all living things. Your body’s concentration of hyaluronic acid declines with age, causing some areas of your face and hands to appear hollow or sunken.

At Rejuvalife Vitality Institute in Los Angeles, we offer the full line of Restylane® products including:

  • Restylane®
  • Restylane® Lyft
  • Restylane® Defyne and Refyne
  • Restylane® Silk
  • Restylane® Kysse™

WHAT IS RESTYLANE®?

Restylane® treatment takes approximately 30 minutes to perform. Most people find the treatment relatively painless, but you may notice a slight pricking sensation during the injection. Depending on the area you’re treating, a topical or numbing injection may be available. Reactions to Restylane® are rare, but mild side effects may include swelling, tenderness, pain, itching, and discomfort around the injection site. Minor bruising may occur and disappear within a few days.

Restylane® Lyft

Over time, the natural fat found in our cheeks begins to deteriorate, causing sagging skin, wrinkles, and a loss of facial volume. Restylane® Lyft works to correct these signs of aging in patients 21 years and older in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Made up of hyaluronic acid gel, Restylane® Lyft is designed to add fullness to the mid-face area, which can create a younger, natural-looking improvement.

Restylane® Lyft is made with lidocaine for improved comfort during injections. During treatment, Restylane® Lyft will be injected into the skin using a fine needle. Results can last up to six months, and patients can schedule touch-up appointments to maintain their results.

Restylane® Refyne and Defyne

Throughout our lives, facial expressions and movement can cause smiles and laugh lines. Restylane® Refyne and Defyne fillers can soften the appearance of both nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

Both Restylane® Refyne and Defyne are hyaluronic acid-based fillers meant to treat patients 21 years and older. The difference between the two fillers is the severity of the lines that they treat. While Restylane® Refyne is meant to treat mild to moderate facial lines, Restylane® Defyne treats moderate to severe lines and folds.

These fillers were created using XpresHAn Technology to create a flexible gel consistency, allowing the fillers to move with the face. This creates a natural look that patients desire. Results from both fillers can last up to 12 months.

Restylane® Silk

Restylane® Silk is a great option for patients in LA and Beverly Hills who wish to add definition and volume to their lips or treat wrinkles around the mouth for a more youthful appearance. As opposed to other lip fillers, Restylane® Silk provides the most natural-looking augmentation, so you don’t need to worry about an overdone look. This filler is combined with lidocaine, which helps to make the injection process a comfortable one.

Most patients can begin to see an increase in lip fullness 14 days after treatment, as well as smoother skin around the injection areas. Results can last up to six months. Click here for lip augmentation options.

Restylane® Kysse™

Sometimes we aren’t born with the voluminous features we desire. The newest member of the Restylane® family, Kysse™, works to add natural-looking volume to thin lips for a plump new look. Restylane® Kysse™ can also be used to smooth away fine lines or lipstick lines around the lips that appear naturally over time.

Restylane® Kysse™ is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler gel that is FDA-approved to provide patients with more voluminous and youthful-looking lips. Kysse™ is specially formulated with natural-looking results in mind, giving patients the results they desire without looking “overdone.”

Frequently Asked Questions About Restylane

Can Restylane cause blindness?

Blindness resulting from Restylane is extremely rare. Although it can happen, this is a highly unlikely side effect.

Can Restylane last for years?

Restylane can last for up to 18 months when injected into the nasolabial folds between the mouth and nose. It lasts about one year for injection in the cheeks, but some patients can enjoy the benefits for longer.

What is the recovery time after Restylane?

The recovery time after Restylane is minimal. Most patients return to work the next day. There may be redness and swelling at the injection site for 24 to 48 hours and slight bruising for four to five days afterward. Results from Restylane injections can be noticed immediately and full results can be expected in two weeks.

Am I a candidate for Restylane?

Restylane is a naturally occurring substance in the body which means it is very well tolerated by most patients. As long as your skin is in good health, you will be a good candidate for Restylane. Restylane should not be administered to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not a good option for those patients with bleeding disorders or those taking blood thinners.

How long does Restylane® last?

Radiesse® and Juvederm® are both effective treatments for varying concerns. Radiesse® provides long-lasting, natural volume in the face and hands. Juvederm® produces instant volume in the face, which may not last as long. In the end, the best treatment for you will depend on your cosmetic goals and treatment needs.
