Dr. Berger is excited to announce that the FDA has approved Ultherapy® as a treatment for wrinkling in the décolleté, the chest area beneath your neck and above your breasts. For many women in Southern California, the sun has wreaked havoc on the decolletage: wrinkling, age spots, and thickened skin are the hallmarks of sun damage and aging in this area. Ultherapy® is already proven to lift and tighten skin on the neck, brow and chin, and now it’s FDA approved for the décolleté!
Collagen is the building block of youthful skin: its presence in your skin is what gives us the firm, tight and soft skin of our youth. Unfortunately, collagen production decreases with age and is damaged by too much exposure to the sun, causing wrinkles and a decrease in skin elasticity and texture. Stimulating collagen production is the goal of most injectables, as well as that of laser treatments and Ultherapy®. By delivering ultrasonic energy to the skin’s deepest layers, Ultherapy® increases your production of collagen so that, over time, you experience a decrease in wrinkling and an increase in softness and skin elasticity and firmness. Unlike surgery, this is accomplished with very little discomfort or downtime.
Ultherapy® has been FDA approved to lift the eyebrows, and lift sagging skin beneath the chin and on the neck. It’s now approved to tighten and lift skin on the décolletage. We couldn’t be more excited about this!
Most of our patients need just one treatment to get the results they desire. If, however, you have very loose skin, you may benefit from additional treatments. Because you skin will continue to age, an occasional touch-up treatment can boost your collagen production to help keep your skin tight and youthful.
There is no downtime associated with Ultherapy® treatments, so you can feel free to schedule the appointment for your Beverly Hills Ultherapy® treatment on your lunch break or before returning to work or attending a social engagement.
Most of our patients see some improvement immediately with increased improvement over the course of two to three months as collagen production increases.
