WHAT IS A THREADLIFT?

A thread lift is a non-surgical, minimally invasive facelift and/or body contouring procedure that uses special suture threads to “lift up” sagging skin on the neck and face, buttocks, arms and other areas. The procedure is less time-consuming than a traditional facelift or butt-lift, and there is virtually little recovery or downtime. The end result is a more refreshed, relaxed, natural and youthful appearance.

Dr. Berger offers a few types of Thread Lift options for both face and buttocks: those using our Silhouette Thread in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and those using NovaThreads. Each technique and product offers unique advantages, so the best way to determine if which of these great procedures is right for you is to speak with Dr. Andre Berger in person. Please call today to schedule a consultation at our LA office.

The Silhouette Instalift

The Silhouette InstaLift is used to lift underlying tissue. Where procedures such as dermal filler injections or laser rejuvenation are used primarily to treat shallow signs of aging, Silhouette InstaLift is used to create lift at deeper levels.

Sometimes known by the name Silhouette Lift or Soft, Silhouette InstaLift is typically used around the cheeks and jawline in order to provide structure and youthful orientation to the face. As we age, the skin in the cheeks tends to droop, wrinkle, and sag. Silhouette InstaLift is designed to mitigate many of those signs of aging.

In Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, the Silhouette InstaLift procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The InstaLift sutures are inserted into the skin (the target depth is roughly 5mm). Once those sutures are in place, Dr. Berger can compress and “lift” the skin thanks to the bi-directional cones located along the suture.

Silhouette InstaLift threads encourage the body’s production of collagen, giving patients a one-two punch of rejuvenation: the mechanical “lift” from the suture, and the restorative powers of collagen.

The Threadlift Procedure

In general, our thread lift procedures are in-office procedures taking about 60 – 90 minutes. The patient will be given a local anesthetic and will likely not feel any discomfort or pain. Patient comfort is a paramount concern for us, so we do everything possible to ensure that patients are well taken care of.

Dr. Berger will then determine the best sites to insert the “thread” in order to achieve the desired final result. Next, Dr. Berger will begin the process of inserting the threads. The specifics of this will depend on the desired final result and the Thread Lift product employed (such as NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift).

This process is repeated several times in the targeted area, in order to create the desired shape and lift, again varying due to the Thread Lift product employed. In general, the entire process takes less than 30 minutes, allowing patients to resume their normal activities in short order.

Frequently Asked Questions About Silhouette InstaLift ThreadLifts

Does Silhouette InstaLift® really work?

Yes! The Silhouette InstaLift® is the perfect treatment for patients who wish to lift, refresh and rejuvenate their mid to lower face and neck without having to deal with the hassles typically associated with traditional plastic surgery treatments. We encourage you to browse through our before and after photo gallery before coming in for your private consultation with Dr. Berger, so you can get a better feel for what you can expect when trusting Dr. Berger, one of the pioneers of threadlift treatments.

How long does Silhouette InstaLift® last?

The Silhouette InstaLift® is a long-lasting, minimally invasive solution for patients who desire the look of a facelift without the general anesthesia, cutting, scarring or down time. A Silhouette InstaLift® typically provides patients with their desired lifted results for up to two years following their initial treatment. These results can be further enhanced with additional non-surgical rejuvenation treatments like dermal fillers and injectables, energy based treatments such as laser, and microneedling with PRP and or peptides.

Is Silhouette InstaLift® painful?

Because your Silhouette InstaLift® will be performed using a local anesthetic, the procedure itself will be very comfortable. Following your Silhouette InstaLift®, it's normal to experience mild swelling, bruising, some puckering may occur, and tenderness around your treated areas. These side effects generally resolve on their own within a week or two of treatment. Most patients are able to return to their normal daily activities, including work, within a day of their Silhouette InstaLift® treatment.

What happens after Silhouette InstaLift®?

After your Silhouette InstaLift®, we'll ask that you ice your treated areas often and keep your head elevated as you sleep for the first three to five days of your recovery period. Patients can resume wearing makeup after 24 hours and return to their normal exercise routine after about two weeks. While you will see some results of your Silhouette InstaLift® immediately, ultimate results will appear once all swelling subsides, and collagen production begins to build. This happens about three to six months following your treatment.

How many times can you have a Silhouette InstaLift®?

Patients are able to follow-up with regular Silhouette InstaLift® treatments when they find that their results have faded, and their threads have fully dissolved. Most patients are satisfied with the results of their initial Silhouette InstaLift® treatment for 12-24 months following their treatment. Dr. Berger and his team may ask that you wait at least 12 months before considering receiving another Silhouette InstaLift®.

How is Silhouette Instalift done?

The Silhouette InstaLift is performed with small dissolvable threads, called sutures. These threads are inserted into the skin and provide an instant lifting effect. Each thread is carefully placed to ensure optimal, long-lasting results.

How much does Silhouette Instalift cost?

The cost of a Silhouette InstaLift procedure can vary depending on the extent of treatment needed. Fortunately, the cost of treatment is made much more affordable thanks to the availability of various financing options.

What happens to the threads in a Thread Lift?

Over time, the threads from the Silhouette InstaLift will dissolve in the skin. During this process, collagen production will be stimulated in the body. This means that as the threads dissolve, the body will replace them with natural collagen. For this reason, the Silhouette InstaLift provides surprisingly natural and long-lasting results.

If you had a prior surgical facelift and are currently experiencing sagging skin, you may be an ideal candidate.nnThis procedure is also an excellent option for younger men and women who would like to delay the signs of aging or achieve subtle rejuvenation results in the brow, cheek, jowls, or neck.
