A recent study found that injectable treatments are some of the most commonly requested cosmetic procedures. Injectables are a popular option because they provide quick results in a safe, non-surgical option. You’ve probably heard of Botox, but odds are you haven’t heard of some of the other injectable options available. Let’s take a quick look at a few:
Artefill is a wrinkle treatment that lasts for a long time. It is the first and only FDA approved filler that isn’t absorbed into the body. This means that it can provide permanent support to the skin and wrinkle correction for as long as five years. Many of our patients find that one or two treatments provide natural, long lasting results.
Dysport is derived from the same substance as Botox; it just has a different formulation. It works similarly to Botox by treating specific facial muscles that cause wrinkles. Dysport has a larger area of effect than Botox which means that fewer injections may be needed. Additionally some patients find that the treatment starts working sooner (sometimes in as little as three days) and may last up to a month longer than Botox. We can help you determine whether Dysport, Botox or a combination of the two is best for your situation.
Juvederm® is an injectable filler comprised of hyaluronic acid. It adds volume to the skin and helps restore structure to your tissues. The filler is injected into specific target areas to reduce wrinkles, add definition, enhance and smooth. It is virtually painless and only takes about 15 minutes. Most patients can see results for approximately three to six months. At our offices we use both Juvederm® Ultra and Juvederm® Ultra Plus.
Radiesse is a unique combination of filler and collagen stimulator. It simultaneously fills in areas needing additional volume while working with the body to stimulate new collagen production. The results are long lasting, usually between nine and eighteen months. As an added bonus this treatment is bio-compatible which means you won’t have to undergo pre-testing before treatment.
Vampire therapy is a revolutionary new treatment option that uses your own blood to fight wrinkles. It is also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy or blood therapy. Your own blood plasma is enriched with platelets which are then injected to stimulate collagen production and cell migration. This treatment does not add volume; rather it stimulates your own collagen production to provide subtle and natural results that can last up to two years.
These are just a few of the many injectable options we have available at Rejuvalife. Contact our offices to find out which options can help you achieve the look you desire. We’ll help you to personally experience the science of youthful aging by using some of the best treatment options available today. Botox might be the most common injected treatment, but as you can clearly see it isn’t your only option.
