Bellafill®

SERVING BEVERLY HILLS AND LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

There are many facial rejuvenation solutions on the market that will help you reverse the signs of aging and restore a youthful appearance. Many of the non-surgical options, including the vast majority of dermal fillers, only offer temporary results and require regular touch up treatments to maintain your desired look. If you prefer a filler that provides longer lasting results, you may want to consider Artefill® now called Bellafill®.

Artefill/Bellafill is a unique dermal filler that works much differently from many of the temporary fillers on the market. It is the first and only FDA approved wrinkle filler that provides permanent support to the skin for wrinkle correction that lasts as long as five years.

The best way to determine whether Artefill/Bellafill is right for you is to speak with Dr. Andre Berger in person. Please call 310.856.9173 today to schedule a consultation.

How is Bellafill Different from other Fillers?

Most dermal fillers are made out of natural or synthetic materials which get broken down and absorbed by your body. As a result, you only experience temporary results that typically don’t last much longer than six months to a year. In order to maintain your results, you need to return for follow-up treatments once or twice a year.

Bellafill is made out of a collagen microsphere material that doesn’t get absorbed by your body. In addition, this material provides important support to your skin, helping to maintain a wrinkle-free appearance much longer.

Benefits of Choosing Bellafill

Bellafill offers you the following benefits:

  • Long lasting, elegant wrinkle correction – maintain natural looking results for as long as 5 years
  • Results are seen immediately
  • Minimally invasive procedure with no downtime – resume normal activities right after treatment
  • Unique collagen microspheres provide a smoother suspension
  • Integrates with your skin to encourage renewal of your own natural collagen
  • Clinically proven to be extremely safe

How Bellafill Works

Bellafill is composed of PMMA (polymethylacrilate) that is injected deep into the skin where the microspheres are surrounded by your own collagen.  This holds them firmly in place to provide long lasting wrinkle reduction. This form of synthetic filler is one of the most commonly used and has a long history of use in medical implant devices such as bone cement, dentures, pacemakers and others. The microspheres in Bellafill are 5 times smaller than the material in temporary fillers, making it smoother and highly effective.

Dr. Berger is an expert injector and trains other doctors on how to properly administer Artefill/Bellafill. This background ensures that you will receive beautiful, natural looking, and long lasting results.

What is the Recovery Like for Bellafill?

One of the many benefits of Bellafill is that there is little-to-no downtime. You are able to return to your normal activities immediately following the treatment. Some patients may experience some minor side effects such as redness, swelling, bruising or irritation at the injection sites but these should resolve within a few days. Dr. Berger will go over all of the possible side-effects from Bellafill with you during your consultation. Most patients find this treatment and downtime very easy and manageable.

How Soon Are Results Seen?

Unlike other dermal fillers that take time to set in to see results, Bellafill’s results are seen immediately. Not only that, the correction that Bellafill offers is long-lasting. It’s been proven to last for up to five years or possibly more in some patients. Bellafill can help correct wrinkles, fine lines, add volume, scars, builds collagen, as well as contours the face. You will be able to start enjoying your refreshed appearance right away with Bellafill.

Am I a Good Candidate for Bellafill?

Bellafill has been confirmed to be beneficial for both men and women of various skin types. To be eligible for this treatment you must be 21 years or older and get a skin test done. The skin test is used to make sure that you do not have a collagen or lidocaine allergy. If you have a history of these allergies or get a reaction from the skin test then you are not a viable candidate for the Bellafill treatment. Dr. Berger can perform this skin test in office, which only takes a few minutes. This way we can be sure that Bellafill will be beneficial to you. It is very important that you see a qualified, experienced physician such as Dr. Berger as this way he can make sure that your results are great as well as long lasting.

How Does Bellafill Work?

Bellafill is comprised of collagen and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). This is a material that has been used in medical devices for over 65 years. After injected, over time the collagen is absorbed into the skin and the PMMA is left behind. This creates a supportive base in your skin, so more collagen develops. Thus, leading to smoother, youthful skin for a long time. This is especially important for those who do not wish to undergo repeat treatments for fillers every few months. With Bellafill the amount of repeat treatments are reduced so you can continue enjoying your life.
