Which Thread Lift Treatment is Right for You?

Posted August 16, 2020 in Thread Lifts

Silhouette InstaLift in Los Angeles, CAThread lift treatments are facial rejuvenation treatments that give our patients a naturally youthful appearance by reducing fine lines, wrinkles, sagging facial skin and other unwanted signs of aging. What many people don’t know is that there are different thread lift treatments that can give our patients different results based on their specific needs.

Dr. Berger was the first doctor in LA to offer thread lifts to patients, making him a pioneer and expert in the thread lift field. Because of this, he offers a variety of thread lift treatments to patients at Rejuvalife Vitality Institute. Let’s go over each type of thread lift offered at our practice and their unique benefits.

The Silhouette® Instalift

The Silhouette® Instalift is a thread lift treatment that not only provides facial rejuvenation in patients who wish to combat signs of aging around the face, but also provides beautiful and natural-looking results for patients who wish to enhance and lift their buttocks. The Silhouette® threads use bidirectional cones made of absorbable glycolide/L-lactide (PLGA) to lift the tissue in the treated area, as well as increase natural collagen production in the skin for immediate results that keep getting better over time.

  • In-office procedure completed in 60 to 90 minutes.
  • Immediate, long-lasting results that keep getting better with time.
  • Reverses signs of aging including fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin around the face.
  • Lifts and enhances the overall shape and appearance of the buttocks.

NovaThreads®

NovaThreads® are used for facial rejuvenation as well. NovaThreads® actually refer to the preloaded, hollow needles that are filled with PDO threads, or polydioxanone threads. Polydioxanone is a fully absorbable biomedical material that naturally dissolves in the body within four to six months, and stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen for another 12 to 15 months following treatment. This means you’re going to get long-lasting results with just one NovaThreads® thread lift treatment.

  • In-office treatment completed in about 45 minutes.
  • Immediate results that keep getting better with time.
  • Reverses signs of aging including fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin around the face.
  • Threads simply injected into treated area, similar to a dermal filler treatment.

MINT® Threads

MINT® threads are similar to NovaThreads® in that they’re also made from polydioxanone. That being said, Dr. Berger typically suggests using MINT® PDO threads if you want the results of a surgical facelift without the cutting, scarring or downtime associated with traditional plastic surgery methods. MINT® threads do require the use of local anesthesia, however, the results of your MINT® threads treatment can last for up to a year. What makes MINT® PDO threads so different is their helical barbed structure that creates a stronger anchor than the bidirectional cones of the Silhouette® threads.

  • In-office treatment completed in about 45 to 90 minutes.
  • Immediate results that keep getting better over time.
  • Reverses signs of aging including fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin around the face.
  • Helical barbed structure creates a stronger anchor for lifting tissue than other threads.
