What is Subcision for Dimple Release?

Subcision is an alternative or addition to to Cellulite reduction treatments. Subcision for cellulite dimple release is a minimally invasive procedure in which dimples in areas of the body caused by cellulite are released resulting in smoother, more supple skin. Cellulite is caused by connective tissue forming into tight bands between pockets of fat that pull at the skin’s surface resulting in the appearance of puckered, dimpled areas of the body. Because cellulite is caused by connective tissue within the body, most topical creams and massagers made popular on TV and the internet don’t quite work. Subcision works to improve the appearance of cellulite at its source for long-lasting results.

How Much Does Subcision for Dimple Release Cost?

The average cost of subcision for cellulite dimple release at Rejuvalife Vitality Institute will vary depending on the number of dimples, the size of the treated area and the extent of treatment required to help you achieve your desired results. Dr. Berger will discuss the details of your treatment including the cost at the time of your one-on-one consultation. For your convenience, we offer multiple financing options to keep your treatments as affordable as possible.

How is Subcision for Dimple Release Performed?

The subcision for dimple release procedure is a minimally invasive procedure performed in-office by Dr. Berger and his team. The procedure begins with Dr. Berger injecting the treatment area with a local anesthetic to prevent any discomfort you might otherwise feel during the procedure. Once numb, he uses a needle and wire to create a simple type of lasso to cut the bands of connective tissue in the treated area and release the dimples in the skin or alternatively using a needle with a tiny blade at its end to cut the fibrous bands and release the dimple.

What Can I Expect After Subcision for Dimple Release?

After your subcision procedure, you may experience mild swelling and bruising in your treated area. This typically resolves on its own within a week following your procedure. While many patients can start to see the results of their subcision treatments just three days following their procedure, it may take up to one month to see the full results of your treatment. Many patients report the results of their treatment lasting for up to three years. For more severe cases of cellulite, Dr. Berger recommends getting two to four treatments spaced four weeks apart to see ultimate results.
