Acne isn’t just something that appears only during your teen years, you can experience breakouts in your 40s and beyond. Acne can hurt your self image, but it doesn’t have to be something that you just live with and accept. There are easy and simple ways to rid yourself of acne and all it takes is benzoyl peroxide and an ice cube.  Yes, that’s right, an ice cube. To benefit you even further, put your peroxide in the refrigerator. Double the chill, double fast results.

Here is your simple four step plan. Make sure you do it every morning for six weeks. It works in as little as 24 hours.

1. Clean away old and dead skin cells.
The best way to do this is to use over-the-counter salicylic acid in a 2 percent concentration.

2. Remove excessive oil that can and does get trapped inside pores.
To remove the clogs, you need a glycolic acid.

3. Kill any bacteria that has infected the clogged pores.
The most effective ingredient for getting rid of bacteria is benzoyl peroxide. But sometimes that ingredient can’t get in the pores if that skin is too inflamed. So you have to open up the pores by making your skin cold. Cold reduces swelling and inflammation.

4. Protect and Maintain.
Use gentle, soap-free liquid cleanser when washing your face and apply oil-free moisturizer when your face is dry. Keep applying the moisturizer whenever you feel dry throughout the day.
