Vampire Therapy and Your Safety

On February 12th, tragedy struck in a Long Beach beauty salon when a patient suddenly entered cardiac arrest. After being taken to the hospital, the patient was pronounced dead due to complications in a normally safe medical procedure known as a “Vampire Therapy”. Sandra Perez Gonzalez, who is a licensed massage therapist, was renting the salon and allegedly performing rear-end and lip augmentation and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, all of which she is highly unqualified to perform. Gonzalez is now in custody, while the homicide continues to be investigated.

Tragedies like this must remind us to always put safety first. Dr. Andre Berger, a well experienced cosmetic surgeon and anti-aging expert says, “This is another unfortunate example of the serious risks of putting your cosmetic needs above common sense and allowing unlicensed individuals to perform cosmetic treatments.  PRP Therapy is a seemingly innocuous and perfectly safe procedure in the right hands and as this proves, it can be a fatal disaster in the wrong hands.” Dr. Berger has performed hundreds of PRP procedures through his distinguished Rejuvalife Vitality Institute in Beverly Hills, California.

vampire therapy So what is Vampire Therapy or PRP? According to Dr. Berger, Vampire Therapy goes by many names in the medical industry. He explains, “Vampire Therapy has been idenfied as Regen, Sephyl, and Vampire Skin Therapy to name just a few.” The term “Vampire” is used because the procedure deals with relocating a person’s own blood cells from one area of the body, like the arm, and into the face via injection to stimulate collagen production. This non-surgical procedure adds volume to the face, which in turn leaves patients looking less saggy, more rested, and with decreased wrinkles. It is a great alternative to traditional liquid filler facelifts and under professional hands a very safe procedure.

According to Dr. Berger, “The Vampire Therapy System involves a three step process that’s quick and easy. The whole treatment can take as little as 20 minutes depending upon the area you want to have treated. The injections do not add volume but rather stimulate your own collagen production and cell migration to eliminate lines, folds and wrinkles. The improvement is subtle and natural. Results can last up to two years.”

In perusing medical procedures, safety needs to always be put first. Check the qualifications and experience of the doctor to ensure that you are in the right hands.
