BOTOX® Cosmetic May Improve Skin Elasticity

Posted June 02, 2015 in Dermal Fillers, facial rejuvenation beverly hills

A recent study conducted at the University of Ottawa in Canada has determined that BOTOX® Cosmetic may do more than provide temporary reduction of wrinkles – it may help restore skin elasticity and promote collagen production as well. The study was conducted on 48 female volunteers with an average age of 55. None of the participants had previously had BOTOX® Cosmetic injections. Four months after these initial injections, researchers found that the BOTOX® Cosmetic had actually improved the skin’s elastic recoil and stretchiness, allowing it to more closely resemble the composition of youthful skin.

If you live in the Los Angeles area and are interested in learning what BOTOX® Cosmetic can do for you, please call Dr. Andre Berger at (310) 276-4494 to schedule a consultation today.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is incredibly effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines and deep wrinkles in between the eyebrows and around the eyes. In this most recent study, these were the places in which the most significant changes in elastic recoil occurred.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a wonderful solution for some, but not all of our patients. During your initial consultation with Dr. Berger it can best be determined if this option is the best one for you.
